Rebecca Silva Wins DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Varsity women's soccer player Rebecca Silva (St. Louis, Mo.) has won a DAAD undergraduate scholarship for the 2009-2010 academic year. Deutscher Akademischer Autstausch Dienst, or German Academic Exchange Service, is a publicly-funded, independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Thirty-nine Bowdoin student-athletes have been awarded NESCAC All-Academic recognition in honors announced this week. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Junior Brianna Wolfson scored three times Saturday to help top-seeded Williams College women's soccer team to a 6-1 victory over fifth-seeded Bowdoin in the semifinals of the NESCAC Tournament at Cole Field. Williams (15-0-1) advances to Sunday’s NESCAC championship game against the winner of Saturday’s second semifinal between second-seeded Amherst and third-seeded Middlebury. Bowdoin falls to 7-5-4 overall.

SOMERVILLE, Mass. - After 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, the Bowdoin College women's soccer team advanced past the Tufts into the NESCAC Tournament semifinals by winning 4-2 in penalty kicks in a first-round game on Sunday afternoon at Kraft Field. Kelly Thomas made 15 saves to lead the fifth-seeded Polar Bears, who will play at top-seeded Williams in the conference semifinals next Saturday.
