Women's Rugby Spring Season Recap
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team team enjoyed a fine spring campaign, collecting four wins against a single loss and pacing the field at the Maine Collegiate Tournament. In addition, five Polar Bears were named as All-Maine selections following the competition.

Bowdoin Ends Season in NERFU First-Round Loss
EASTON, Mass. - The Stonehill College women's rugby team was too much for Bowdoin on Saturday, defeating the Polar Bears 30-10 in the First Round of the New England Rugby Football Union Playoffs. Bowdoin finishes their season with a record of 4-5. Becky Stevens and Loryn Fridie scored Bowdoin's tries in the loss.

Polar Bears Falter in Regular Season Finale Against Radcliffe
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Radcliffe women's rugby team rallied from a 12-5 halftime deficit to take a 20-17 win over Bowdoin in the NERFU regular season finale on Saturday. The Polar Bears finish 3-2 in league play and will travel to play at Stonehill in the first round of the New England Tournament next weekend. The winner advances to the NERFU Division II "Final Four" on Halloween weekend at New Hampshire.

DURHAM, N.H. - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team sprinted to a 26-point halftime lead and cruised to a 48-10 win at the University of New Hampshire on Friday evening. The Polar Bears improve to 4-3 overall (3-1 in NERFU play) this season with the victory.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team fell behind early and couldn't rally, dropping a 44-25 decision to Boston University on Saturday in their home-opener at Pickard Field. The Polar Bears fall to 2-3 this season with the defeat.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team has announced a time change for their home opener this Saturday against Boston University. Originally scheduled for 1:00 p.m., the game will now kick-off at 2:30 p.m. on September 25.

Late Rally Pushes Women's Rugby To Road Win at Northeastern
BOSTON, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team claimed a thrilling, 22-19 decision over Northeastern University in their New England Rugby Football Union opener on Saturday afternoon. Down by nine points with under ten minutes to play, the Polar Bears rallied to improve to 2-2 overall this season.

Polar Bears Go 1-2 at Beantown Preseason Tournament
AMHERST, Mass. - It was a tale of two matches for the Bowdoin women's rugby team at the Beantown Preseason Tournament hosted by UMass-Amherst on Saturday. The Polar Bears defeated Williams in their opener, 53-3 before falling to Vermont 34-0 in the second game of the doubleheader. The Polar Bears concluded the tournament with a 7-5 loss to MIT on Sunday.

2010 Bowdoin Women's Rugby Season Preview
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's rugby team will begin their quest to return to the New England "Final Four" as they embark on their 2010 campaign. The Polar Bears return a wealth of talent from last year's squad that finished 7-2 and just missed out on a NERFU postseason bid. Bowdoin will open their season at the Beantown Tournament on September 11-12 and will begin regular season play at Northeastern on the 18th.
