BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's lacrosse players Hannah Hirschfeld (Concord, N.H.) and Eliza Denious (Wilton, Conn.) have been named All-Americans in selections announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association on Wednesday.

It is the first All-American honor for both the senior Hirschfeld, who earned Second Team recognition, and first-year Denious, who netted Third Team honors.

The duo helped pace a potent Bowdoin offense this spring, with Hirschfeld scoring a team-best 64 points, including 43 goals, and totaling a team-high 21 assists and 35 ground balls. She closes out a stellar career with 138 points and exactly 100 career goals.

Denious burst onto the scene with a fantastic rookie campaign, ranking third on the team with 41 goals but also ranking among the team's best in draw controls (47), ground balls (22) and caused turnovers (20).

Bowdoin finished the 2018 campaign with a 14-6 record, ending the year as the NESCAC runners-up and advancing to the third round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
