BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team will head to New Jersey for an NCAA Division III Tournament regional hosted by The College of New Jersey this weekend.
The Polar Bears (14-5) will face the host Lions (18-2) at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in a third round game. Franklin & Marshall will face Colorado College in the other third round contest at 2:30 p.m. The regional final will be on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens, and $2 for children under 12. Public parking is available in the Lot 7 Parking Garage on campus. There is no charge.
Bowdoin Game Notes
The Bowdoin College Polar Bears are making their seventh appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament after finishing as the NESCAC Runners-up two weeks ago...Bowdoin boasted one of the toughest schedules in the nation this year, as ten of their 19 games came against ranked opponents...in the conference tournament the Polar Bears knocked off 14th-ranked Wesleyan and 2nd-ranked Amherst en route to the NESCAC final before falling to 6th-ranked Middlebury... Bowdoin then dispatched Stevens with a big second half to take an 18-8 NCAA Second Round win last weekend... Hannah Hirschfeld, Eliza Denious and Grace DeWald were all recognized in All-NESCAC honors two weeks ago... the Polar Bears' offense has ridden a youth movement as four of the team's top-five scorers are first-years or sophomores...Bowdoin's defense, however, features three seniors including goaltender Kayli Weiss (9.88 GAA)... Rookie Katie Miller set the program's first-year goal scoring record (48), breaking a 35 year-old mark set by Jill Bermingham (40) in 1983...The Polar Bears are ranked ninth in the latest IWLCA Division III poll and are in the Tournament for the first time since 2015...Bowdoin has reached the regional finals (Elite 8) on five occasions, including a trip to the national title game in 2011.
Bowdoin vs. Potential Regional Opponents
vs. TCNJ (1-1) - The Polar Bears and Lions have played twice, both coming in NCAA play. Bowdoin defeated TCNJ in the national semifinals in 2011 (11-9). TCNJ bounced Bowdoin in the third round of the tournament in 2015 (10-5).
vs. Franklin & Marshall (0-0) - Bowdoin has never played Franklin & Marshall
vs. Colorado College (3-0) - Bowdoin has faced Colorado College on three occasions, winning each contest by a sizeable margin, including a 23-14 win in a regular-season meeting last year in Brunswick.
