BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team will host Wesleyan in the quarterfinal round of the 2018 New England Small College Athletic Conference championship Saturday at Ryan Field.

The Polar Bears will battle the Cardinals at noon on Saturday afternoon. Live stats and a live video webcast courtesy of the Northeast Sports Network will be provided.

Bowdoin (11-4, 6-4 NESCAC) is the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Wesleyan (10-5, 6-4 NESCAC) after a three-team tie for fourth place resulted in a random drawing won by the Polar Bears. The Polar Bears are the fourth seed for the third time in program history and first time since 2006. Bowdoin is seeking its first semifinal appearance since 2015, the same year the Polar Bears advanced to the championship game. Bowdoin has won five of its last six games entering the tournament and defeated Wesleyan, 13-11, on April 14.

Wesleyan is making its second straight NESCAC Championship appearance and is the No. 5 seed for the second year in a row. The Cardinals are looking to advance to the semifinals for the first time in program history. The Polar Bears earned a quarterfinal victory over the Cardinals in 2015 in the only meeting in the NESCAC Tournament.

A complete wrap-up of the game will be available at GoUBears.com following the contest.
