Women's Lacrosse Prepares to Host NCAA First Round Game Wednesday
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team will host Bridgewater State in a NCAA Division III First Round game on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets will be sold at the door beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with prices being $3 for adults and $2 for students and children under 18. Bowdoin students are free with ID. Fans can follow all the action online via live coverage links above.
The winner of Wednesday's first round game will advance to play the winner of Susquehanna and Geneseo State at a to-be-determined location on Saturday, May 11 with a regional final scheduled for Sunday, May 12.
ABOUT THE POLAR BEARS

Head Coach Liz Grote is in her 11th season with the Polar Bears... Grote is the winningest coach in program history with a 127-61 (.676) record... She has guided Bowdoin to four of their five NCAA Tournament appearances.
ABOUT THE BEARS
This marks the fourth straight NCAA Tournament apperance for the Bears and fifth overall... Bridgewater earned the automatic qualifier after defeating Westfield State in the MASCAC title game... Freshman Lauren Greary earned conference Rookie of the Year with 44 goals, 22 assists, and 86 ground balls... She set the NCAA DIII record for single-season draw controls with 187... Senior Junior Taylor Clancy leaads the team with 59 goals and 24 assists for 83 points and 104 ground balls... She leads the team in scoring and ranks among the top ten in DIII for ground balls and turnovers... Senior Michelle Navoni anchors the defense with 62 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers... The Bears rank among the top ten in DII in scorring defense (6.58 ppg), ground balls (537), and draws (306)... Junior goalie Chandlre Rose posted a 13-2 record with 88 saves on the season... She boasts a 6.81 goals against average... Head Coach Erika Smith is in her seventh season with the Bears with a 91-34 career record
