Women's Lacrosse Falls to 11th-Ranked Stevens
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Stevens Institute of Technology women's
lacrosse team pulled away from Bowdoin late in a 7-4 win over the
Polar Bears on Monday evening in Texas. The 11th-ranked Ducks
improve to 3-0 this season while the Polar Bears fall to 1-1.
Stevens jumped out to a 4-0 lead but Bowdoin (1-1) battled back to
make it a 4-3 game at halftime. The Polar Bears Bears tied the game
at four apiece less than five minutes into the second hald, but
Stevens scored the last three goals of the game to earn the
win.
Katie Herter accounted for two of the Bowdoin goals while Katie
Stewart and Katy Dissinger tossed in one apiece. Tara Connolly
stopped 14 shots in the loss.
A complete box score will be posted when the team returns to
Brunswick.
