Women's Lacrosse Honored For Academics
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Three Bowdoin College women's lacrosse
players have been honored as Academic All-Americans while the 2008
Polar Bears earned All-Academic Team honors in awards handed out by
the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Monday.
Individually, senior captains Grace Moore (Groton, Mass.) and Bobbi
Dennison (Freeport, Maine) along with junior Libby Barton
(Wolfeboro, N.H.) garnered Academic All-American selection. In
order to be named Academic All-American, student-athletes must have
achieved at least junior year status and have a minimum GPA of
3.2.
As a team, the Polar Bears surpassed the 3.0 grade-point-average
requirement to collect All-Academic Team recognition. Bowdoin
finished their 2008 campaign with a record of 9-7.
