Women's Lacrosse Honored For Academics

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Three Bowdoin College women's lacrosse players have been honored as Academic All-Americans while the 2008 Polar Bears earned All-Academic Team honors in awards handed out by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Monday.

Individually, senior captains Grace Moore (Groton, Mass.) and Bobbi Dennison (Freeport, Maine) along with junior Libby Barton (Wolfeboro, N.H.) garnered Academic All-American selection. In order to be named Academic All-American, student-athletes must have achieved at least junior year status and have a minimum GPA of 3.2.

As a team, the Polar Bears surpassed the 3.0 grade-point-average requirement to collect All-Academic Team recognition. Bowdoin finished their 2008 campaign with a record of 9-7.
