Women's Hockey Skates to Season-Opening Win Over Southern Maine
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin's Shelagh Merrill scored a pair of goals to lead the Polar Bear women's ice hockey team to a 4-1 season-opening win over the University of Southern Maine on Friday evening. The Polar Bears (1-0-0) will return to action Tuesday night against Saint Anselm and improve to 16-0-1 all-time against Southern Maine.

Bowdoin Inducts Eighth Class into Athletic Hall of Honor
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Hall of Honor welcomed its eighth group of inductees on Homecoming Saturday, October 17. The recipients span nearly five decades of excellence and encompass seven different Bowdoin athletic teams. This year's class includes Harold "Bud" White '39, Alex Schulten '66, Dick Donovan '73, Kirk Hutchinson '82 and Susan Leonard Toll '85.

Hockey Teams Announce 2009-10 Schedules
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College ice hockey teams have announced their schedules for the 2009-10 season. With a significant amount of talent returning for each squad, the first full season at Sidney J. Watson Arena promises to be an exciting one for the Polar Bears. As with all Bowdoin regular-season sporting events, every men's and women's ice hockey game is free of charge.
