Men's basketball is among the most storied athletic programs at Bowdoin College. Since 1941, the Bowdoin College campus has gathered in Morrell Gymnasium to support their Polar Bears, with considerable success. Bowdoin has seen postseason play numerous times in the last 20 years, making four ECAC and three NCAA Tournament appearances in 1995-96, 1998-99 and 2007-08.

The Polar Bears have qualified for the NESCAC Tournament in each of the past eight seasons and have posted winning seasons in 15 of the past 17 years. Head Coach Tim Gilbride has led the team for the past 24 seasons, posting a school-record 337 wins during that span. For more information about the program, you can email him at tgilbrid@bowdoin.edu.
