Men's Hoops Falls To Host Warriors in Tip-Off Final
WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - Bowdoin's Paul Sellew netted a game-high 19 points, including a game-tying three-pointer to fend regulation, but it wasn't enough as Eastern Connecticut held off the Polar Bear men's basketball team on Saturday, 71-67 in overtime. The Warriors claim their season-opening Tip-Off Tournament and improve to 2-0 while Bowdoin dips to 1-1.

Men's Hoops Dominates Fitchburg in Season Opener
WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - The Bowdoin College men's basketball team jumped out to a 10-point lead just four minutes into the game and never looked back in an 81-51 win over Fitchburg State in the opening round of the Eastern Connecticut Tip-Off Tournament on Friday evening. The Polar Bears (1-0) advance to play the host Warriors in the championship tilt at 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Will Hanley led Bowdoin with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Basketball Teams Announce 2009-10 Schedules
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's and women's basketball teams have released their 2009-10 regular season schedules. Both squads enjoyed stellar campaigns a year ago and will return strong senior classes and a bevy of talent to Morrell Gymnasium this winter. Practice begins November 1 for both teams with regular-season play opening the weekend of November 20-22.
