BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin College women's ice hockey junior Schuyler Nardelli (Hamilton, N.Y.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Nardelli scored three goals last week, including game-winners in back-to-back nights as the Polar Bears swept a two-game road set at Connecticut College. After scoring a goal and tallying one assist in a mid-week game against St. Anselm, Nardelli score the game-winner with 2:42 to go against the Camels on Friday evening in a 3-2 victory. On Saturday, Nardelli notched the eventual game-winner with 8:52 to go, giving Bowdoin another one-goal win, 5-4.
Nardelli leads the Polar Bears with five goals and five assists this year, and stands at 12-11-23 all-time. Bowdoin is 6-5 (2-2 NESCAC) after the weekend sweep at Connecticut College.
The Polar Bears return to the ice on Tuesday night as they host Univeristy of Southern Maine at 7:00 p.m. Fans can watch all the action live courtesy of the Northeast Sports Network.
