NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Bowdoin College women's ice hockey team saw its three-game win streak snapped in a 5-0 setback to third-ranked Norwich University Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears fall to 3-3-0 while the Cadets improve to 8-1-0. Tori Charron led the way for Norwich with two goals and two assists. Kaycie Anderson, Emily MacKinnon and Madison Gallagher also scored for the hosts.

Bowdoin was able to stay with Norwich in the opening period, falling behind 1-0 on Charron's first goal of the day midway through the period. But the Cadets racked up three scores in a strong second-period performance, including a goal from Anderson just 23 seconds into the frame, to put the contest out of reach.

Beth Findley made 22 saves in net for the Polar Bears in the loss. Taylor Fairchild had 17 stops for Norwich.

The Polar Bears will return to action after break when they host a pair of non-conference matches against Manhattanville (Jan. 4) and St. Thomas (Jan. 5).
