Ariana Bourque scored both Bowdoin goals in a Tuesday win over UMass Boston and assisted on Saturday's game-winner at Holy Cross

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's ice hockey sophomore Ariana Bourque (West Barnstable, Mass.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Bourque led Bowdoin to two wins last week - a pair of 2-1 non-conference victories. The sophomore scored both Polar Bear goals in the final 5:27 of Tuesday's win over UMass Boston, including the game-winning goal with 11 seconds remaining in regulation. She then assisted on Madeline Lane's game-winning goal with 2:10 remaining to give the Polar Bears a 2-1 triumph over Holy Cross on Saturday.

Bourque has scored three goals in four games so far this year for Bowdoin (2-2-0) and has tallied 11 goals and nine assists in her career.

The Polar Bears will return to the ice on Tuesday evening when they host New England College at 7:00 p.m. Fans can watch all the action live courtesy of the Northeast Sports Network.
