Marissa O'Neil Named Head Coach of Women's Ice Hockey
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Marissa O'Neil '05 as the new head coach of the Polar Bear women's ice hockey program. O'Neil, who helped the team to a pair of NESCAC Championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances as a player, returns to Bowdoin after a one-year stint as head coach at Williams College.

The Polar Bears finish their year with a record of 12-2-2. Kayla Lessard stopped 49 shots in the loss for Bowdoin.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College women's ice hockey team twice rallied from one-goal deficits to take a 3-2 win over Bowdoin in both team's regular season finale on Saturday afternoon. The Ephs (12-10-2) claim the fourth seed in the NESCAC Tournament with the win while the Polar Bears (11-11-2) drop to the fifth seed. The two teams will play against next Saturday, February 27, at Williams in a NESCAC quarterfinal game scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Bowdoin scored three goals in a 1:58 span in the second period on its way to a 4-2 upset victory over seventh-ranked Middlebury in Kenyon Arena. The Polar Bears (11-10-2, 8-6-1) pick up their first victory over the Panthers (14-6-3, 10-4-1) in the last 12 meetings between the schools dating back to February of 2005. The Polar Bears will travel to Williams on Saturday, needing a win to secure a NESCAC quarterfinal home contest.
