BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's golf team placed first at the season-opening Bowdoin Invitational this weekend at Brunswick Golf Club.
The Polar Bears totaled a team score of 674 over the two days, easily defeating Bates (784) and Husson (881). Caroline Farber led the way for Bowdoin, earning medalist honors in the tournament.
- Farber shot a 160 (+12) for the two days, winning the tournament by eight strokes over Katie Goulet (168) of Husson.
- Bowdoin placed the next three finishers with Haley Friesch (170) in third, Diya Chopra (171) in fourth and Emme McCabe (173) in fifth.
- The Polar Bears will return to action next weekend at the Maine State Championship hosted by Martindale C.C. in Auburn on Saturday and Sunday.
