Captain: Haley Friesch

2016 Recap: The Polar Bears continued their emergence as a program, winning a pair of tournaments and carding strong showings at a pair of competitive regional championships last fall. Bowdoin opened the season with a victory at the Bowdoin Invitational and took the Maine State Intercollegiate Championship in dominating fashion (placing the top six finishers) last fall. The Polar Bears wrapped their campaign with a tenth-place finish at the highly-competitive Mt. Holyoke Invitational and a fifth-place showing at the NESCAC Women's Golf Championship.

2017 Preview: Bowdoin's roster looks familiar, as all six players return from last year's squad, including four seniors that hail from all corners of the globe: captain Haley Friesch (San Francisco), Rachel Kaye (New Orleans), Karen Chan (Honolulu) and Diya Chopra (Dubai). A pair of sophomore New Englanders, Caroline Farber (Providence, R.I.) and Emme McCabe (Dover, Mass.) wrap up the roster.

Farber exploded onto the scene with a phenomenal rookie campaign last autumn, winning a pair of events and becoming Bowdoin's first All-NESCAC women's golfer thanks to a seventh-place individual finish at the conference championship. She will look to pace the Polar Bears again this year as the squad features a five-event slate, opening with the Bowdoin Invitational at Brunswick Golf Club on Sep. 9-10. Championship tournaments include the Maine State Championship at Martindale C.C. (Sep. 16-17) and the season-ending NESCAC Championship at Taconic G.C. in Massachusetts (Oct. 7-8).
