Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Season-Ending NESCAC Championship

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin College women's golf team closed out its season with a fifth-place finish at the 2016 NESCAC Championship played at Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College last weekend.

The Polar Bears carded a two-day total of 710 at the event, vastly improving over last year's team score of 764 at the championship. Williams took the crown with a two-day score of 629.

Highlights

  • Caroline Farber capped a sensational rookie campaign with a 78 on day two of the tournament, rising to a two-day score of 160 to finish in a tie of seventh place
  • Meredith Sullivan and Emme McCabe ended in a tie for 22nd with matching 183 two-day totals
  • Diya Chopra (185) ended in 24th with Haley Freisch (186) right behind in 26th
