Gerry Caron Named Head Women's Golf Coach at Bowdoin

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Brunswick native Gerry Caron has been named as the new head women's golf coach at Bowdoin College. Caron and the Polar Bears will open their 2010 schedule at home on September 11.

A golf instructor with a dozen years of experience in the Midcoast Area, Caron has spent the last four years at the Highland Green Golf Club in Topsham.

"More than anything, I just really enjoying teaching the game of golf," says Caron. "A lot of my instruction is done on the course and, at the end of the day, I take great pride in seeing people improve. I'm very much looking forward to the season."

The Polar Bears will host their annual "Bowdoin Blast" Tournament on September 11 at Brunswick Golf Club.
