KJ Krasco was named as an assistant coach for the Bowdoin women's basketball program in the summer of 2011.

Krasco brings a wealth of experience to one of the nation's top Division III programs, having served as a head coach at Clarkson University from 2007-2010, improving the program in each of her three seasons. Most recently an assistant coach at Merrimack College, she also served as an assistant for two years at St. Lawrence University, where she was part of the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year that led the Saints to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2007.

As a player at Colby-Sawyer, Krasco was a First-Team All-Commonwealth Coast Conference player and 1,000-point scorer for the Chargers from 2002-05. She was named the New Hampshire Division III Player of the Year in 2004-05 as Colby-Sawyer won the Commonwealth Coast Conference title and reached the NCAA Tournament.

Krasco joins a program that has been one of the best in Division III over the past decade. Bowdoin has reached the NCAA Tournament in each of the past 11 seasons, and won at least one game in the tournament in each of those years; the longest such streak in Division III basketball. The Polar Bears return a load of talent from last year's squad that reached the Sweet Sixteen of the tourney and finished with a record of24-6.
