Women's Hoops Eases To Wednesday Night Win Over Farmington

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Every player scored for the Bowdoin women's basketball team in a 109-24 win over Maine-Farmington on Tuesday evening at Morrell Gymnasium.

The seventh-ranked Polar Bears remain unbeaten at 8-0 and post the second-highest point total in a single game in school history (109). The Beavers fall to 3-4 with the loss.

Game Highlights

  • The Polar Bears never trailed, scoring the first seven points of the game and sprinting to a 28-6 after the first quarter.
  • Bowdoin extended their lead to 60-14 at halftime, setting a new program record for points in a half (60).
  • The Polar Bears continued to roll in the second half, allowing just ten points by UMF in the final 20 minutes en route to the victory.

  • Bowdoin finished 54% from the field (48-88) and hit on 11-22 from three-point range.
  • UMF struggled to get their offense on track, hitting just 21% from the floor for the contest.
  • The Polar Bears owned a 55-20 edge in rebounding and scored 46 points off 27 Beaver turnovers while committing just five themselves for the game.
  • Bowdoin's bench scored 82 of the team's 109 points in the game, including 14 points from Abby Kelly, 12 from Sam Roy and ten apiece from Annie Maher, Dorian Cohen and Cordelia Stewart.
  • Bowdoin received nine rebounds from Maher and eight assists from Fallon Field.
