Donahoe Earns NESCAC, MWBCA Honors as Women's Basketball Player of the Week

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin senior co-captain Kaitlin Donahoe (Amherst, N.Y.) has been named as the New England Small College Athletic Conference and Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week.
Donahoe racked up 23.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in a perfect 2-0 week for the Polar Bears. The guard converted 54.8% (17-31) of her shots from the floor, including 63.6% (7-11)from three-point range. She was at her best in an 82-71 win at Colby on Saturday, when she poured in a career-best 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field. Donahoe was also impressive in an 80-43 victory over Maine Maritime on Tuesday, scoring 18 points behind four three-pointers.
The senior co-captain is enjoying her finest season as a Polar Bear, averaging a career-best 15.5 points and ranking second in the league in scoring and fourth in assists (3.2/game). She is also moving up the Bowdoin record books in several statistical categories, including career assists (351, 6th) and career three-pointers (89, 9th). Through 103 career games, she has racked up 953 points.

The Polar Bears are currently 10-8 after a pair of wins last week. Bowdoin looks to continue its recent success on Tuesday night when the team travels to Eastern Connecticut State with a 7:00 PM tip-off.
