Flaherty Named Kodak/WBCA Player of the Year
ATLANTA, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today that Bowdoin College senior Eileen Flaherty has been named the State Farm/WBCA National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Player of the Year. The WBCA presents this award annually to the top players in each of the following WBCA collegiate divisions (NCAA Divisions II, III, NAIA and JC/CC) and high school.

NESCAC Honors Women's Basketball Team
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior forward Eileen Flaherty (Fairfield, Conn.) has been honored as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year, heading a trio of Polar Bears recognized in postseason awards on Wednesday. The Polar Bears (26-1) are ranked first in the latest Division III National Poll and will host an NCAA Regional this Friday and Saturday at Morrell Gymnasium.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's basketball player Julia Loonin (New York, N.Y.) was recognized as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week as the Polar Bears' won their seventh-straight Conference Championship. Bowdoin (26-1) is ranked first in the latest national poll and will host Mount Holyoke in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior tri-captain Eileen Flaherty (Fairfield, Conn.) has been named as one of the 10 finalists for the prestigous Josten's Trophy, recognizing the top Division III men's and women's basketball student-athletes. The prolific-scoring forward was chosen from a pool of nominated players from across the nation.
