Sailing Team Finishes First Semester Strong With Fourth-Place Finish at ACT

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College sailing team ended its fall campaign on a strong note by capturing fourth place overall at the Atlantic Coast Tournament hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Michael Croteau along with Charlotte Williamson sailed in the  A-Division for the Polar Bears finishing 12th.  Pete Edmunds and Julia Rew sailed B-Division, finishing in second place.

The results came on the heels of a strong weekend to open November, with the Polar Bears claiming sixth at the Rhode Island State Championships and taking third at the Crews Regatta hosted by MIT.

In the latest Sailing World College rankings released on November 14, the co-ed team ranked 20th in the nation, marking the first time the team has appeared in the poll in the last five years.
