CRAFTSBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin nordic team put together several strong performances at the UVM Carnival held at the Craftsbury Nordic Center on Friday and Saturday.

Carnival Highlights

  • Friday's skate races were mass start, with 80-90 skiers beginning at one time. The course was new to the EISA circuit and contained several long steep hills.
  • Elliot Ketchel finished 8th and Jacob Adicoff finished 19th in the men's side.
  • Renae Anderson finished 13th followed by Ellie Hands in 20th
  • Adicoff and Hands both finished in the top-20 for the first time in their careers.
  • Saturday's classic race was cold with a little fresh snow.
  • In the men's 10k classic, Ketchel finished 15th followed by Christian Gostout in 17th
  • On the women's side, Gabrielle Vandendries led the way with a 15th place showing. Anderson snuck in to the top-20 at 19th.
