STOWE, Vt. – The Bowdoin nordic ski team posted strong overall team performances while competing at the UVM Carnival.

Weekend Highlights

  • The men's side had a fantastic weekend showing. Malcolm Groves and Sam Shaheen both qualified for the elimination rounds in the skate sprint, finishing 24th and 26th respectively.  The result was a personal best for Shaheen.
  • In the 10k classic, the men put forth one of the best overall performances in Bowdoin nordic history. Groves paced the team with an 8th place finish, followed by Sean Cork in 10th, Orion Watson in 25th, and Jake Adicoff in 26th. Previously, the team had only placed two men in the top-10 back in 2008.
  • Lily Johnston led the women in the sprint, finishing 52nd. Hannah Miller competed in the classic and turned in a 17th place finish.
  • Former team member Kaitlynn Miller '14 also competed as a guest racer at the event and won Saturday's classic race.
