Horowitz Earns All-American Status as Bowdoin Competes at NCAA Meet

WINNECONNE, Wis. - Led by a 13th-place finish from sophomore Coby Horowitz, the Bowdoin College men's cross country team placed 15th at the NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday afternoon in Wisconsin.

With his 13th-place finish in the 8k race, Horowitz earned Division III All-American status. Horowitz ran at a pace of 4:56 and concluded with a time of 24:30.55. Matt Hillard was second among the Polar Bears and finished 72nd overall in a time of 25:07.00. Sam Seekins was 119th (25:24.75), Nicholas Saba 161st (25:39.38) and James Boeding 171st (25:43.69) to round out Bowdoin's top-five qualifying runners.

Bowdoin's two women's qualifers, Madelena Rizzo and Olivia MacKenzie also competed in the women's 6k championship. Rizzo was 71st in a time of 22:06.78 while MacKenzie was 92nd in a time of 22:15.48.
