Ogilvie, Horowitz and Baskir Named All-NESCAC Cross-Country
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Three Bowdoin College cross-country runners have been awarded All-New England Small College Athletic Conference honors based on their performances last weekend at the conference championship meet. First-year Coby Horowitz, junior Colin Ogilvie and first-year Carolyn Baskir all collected Second-Team recognition.

CLINTON, N.Y. - The Bowdoin College cross-country teams both finished sixth at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship at Hamilton College on Saturday. Coby Horowitz placed eighth in the men's race while Carolyn Baskir took ninth in the women's competition.

Bowdoin Cross-Country Competes at NESCAC Championship This Weekend
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin men's and women's cross-country teams will compete at the 2010 NESCAC Championship at Hamilton College this Saturday, October 30. The Polar Bear men are ranked 15th in the latest Division III poll and will be looking for their first conference crown since winning back-to-back titles in 2001 and 2002.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College first-year Coby Horowitz (Stow, Mass.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Cross-Country Performer of the Week. Horowitz led the Polar Bears, ranked 17th nationally, to their sixth-consecutive Maine Intercollegiate title last weekend at Pickard Fields.

Bowdoin Men, Colby Women Take State Cross-Country Crowns
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men and Colby College women earned the titles at the 2010 Maine State Intercollegiate Cross-Country Championship hosted at Bowdoin's Pickard Field on Saturday. Bowdoin's Coby Horowitz claimed the men's individual crown in a sprint to the finish while Colby's Amy Tortorello.took the women's title.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Thanks to several strong performances this fall, the Bowdoin College men's cross-country team has vaulted into the national rankings for the first time this season. After being unranked for the first four polls of the year, the Polar Bears jumped to #17 in Division III in advance of this weekend's State Championship at Pickard Fields.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's cross-country team finished 11th at the Open New England Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday afternoon. The women's team finished in 23rd place overall in a field that included several Division I squads.

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The Bowdoin College cross-country teams raced to first-place finishes at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday. The Polar Bears were led by a pair of first-place showings by Anna Ackerman and Coby Horowitz in the sweep.

2010 Bowdoin Fall Sports Schedules Available Online
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced 2010 schedules for several fall sports teams. Season-opening games are scheduled for early September, including a trio of home contests in men's and women's soccer and field hockey on Saturday, September 11. Homecoming Weekend is slated for October 1-3 while Parent's Weekend is scheduled for October 22-24.
