Cross Country Releases 2009 Schedule
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's and women's cross country programs have released their 2009 schedule of competitions. The Polar Bears were among the best squads in New England last year, with the men garnering a fifth place finish at the Division III regional and the women placing seventh.

Bowdoin Announces End-of-Year Athletic Awards
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department announced their end-of-year honors at the annual All-Sports Banquet on Saturday evening, May 10. Top honors went to three-sport star Lindsay McNamara (Milton, Mass.), who garnered Outstanding Female Athlete, while track & field thrower Luke Fairbanks (Northbridge, Mass.) collected Outstanding Male Athlete recognition.

NESCAC Announces Fall All-Academic Team Honorees
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Thirty-nine Bowdoin student-athletes have been awarded NESCAC All-Academic recognition in honors announced this week. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

Ogilvie, Monjar Impressive at National Championships
HANOVER, Ind. - Bowdoin College cross-country runners Anne Monjar and Thompson Ogilvie posted strong finishes at the NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday at Hanover College. Ogilvie finished 17th in the men's race while Monjar posted an 18th-place showing in the women's meet.

NESCAC Names Fall All-Sportsmanship Team
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Eight Bowdoin College student-athletes have been recognized as NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team honorees announced on Thursday. The All-Sportsmanship Team is composed of one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship.

Monjar, Ogilvie to Race in NCAA Championship Saturday
HANOVER, Ind. - Bowdoin cross-country runners Thompson Ogilvie and Anne Monjar will compete individually in the NCAA Division III Championship this weekend at Hanover College. The duo earned automatic bids to the race after their finishes in the NCAA Regional last weekend.

Cross-Country Teams Compete at NCAA Regional
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Bowdoin College cross-country runners Thompson Ogilvie and Anne Monjar have qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship race following their performances at the NCAA Regional hosted by Williams College this weekend. The men's team finished in fifth place overall and will hope for an at-large selection into the NCAA Championship. The women's team finished in eight place overall.

Monjar Leads Polar Bears at NESCAC Cross-Country Meet
NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine - The Bowdoin College cross-country teams competed in the 2008 NESCAC Championship races hosted by Bates College at Pineland Farms on Saturday. The women's team placed sixth while the men earned seventh place overall. Anne Monjar was the top individual finisher for Bowdoin, earning fourth place to claim All-NESCAC honors.

Men's Cross-Country Wins State Championship
CUMBERLAND, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's cross-country team won the 2008 Maine State Cross-Country Championship at Twin Brooks on Saturday. Anne Monjar won the individual championship on the women's side as the Polar Bears finished in second place overall.
