Men's Distance Medley Relay Places Fifth at NCAA Indoor Track
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Bowdoin College men's distance medley relay team finished fifth at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship while 400 meter runner Elsa Millett just missed out on qualifying for the finals in preliminary races held Friday evening at Capital (Ohio) University.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's distance relay team, along with junior Elsa Millett have qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship field announced on Monday. The athletes will compete at the championship meet scheduled for this weekend at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.

Men's DMR and Croteau Set School Records at ECAC's
NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Bowdoin College track and field set a pair of school records at the ECAC Championship hosted at The Armory Track & Field Center in New York on Friday and Saturday. The men's distance medley relay team of Coby Horowitz, Matthew Gamache, Colin Fong, Matthew Hillard finished first, set a school record in 9:54.39. Chantal Croteau took fifth in the 1000 meters (2:57.73) to also set a new school record.

Indoor Track Teams Excel at Open New England's
BOSTON, Mass. - The Bowdoin College track and field teams enjoyed a stellar outing at the Open New England Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Boston University this weekend. The meet included school records, personal bests and provisional qualifiers, as well as a first-place finish by the men's distance medley relay team.

Track Teams Take Fifth at New England D-III's
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Both Bowdoin College indoor track teams placed fifth in their respective New England Division III Championship meets in Massachusetts on Saturday. The Polar Bear men placed fifth at Springfield College while the women were fifth at MIT. First-year Sam Seekins won the New England Division III Championship in the men's 5000 meters.

Records Fall as Polar Bears Make History at Valentine Invite
BOSTON, Mass. - The Bowdoin College indoor track team broke four school records at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University last weekend. Junior Elsa Millett broke a pair of school records, Michele Kaufman set a new school mark and the men's distance relay also set a new program standard. In addition to their record-setting performances, Millett, Kaufman and the men's distance medley relay team all provisionally qualified for nationals.

Bowdoin Finishes Second at State Indoor Championship
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's indoor track and field team placed second at the Maine State Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday evening at Farley Field House. Bates College earned the win with 196 team points, edging Bowdoin (143), Southern Maine (122) and Colby (91). Matthew Hillard, Matthew Gamache and Samuel Seekins all earned individual wins for the Polar Bears.

Women Beat Colby, Men Place Third at Home Invitational
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's indoor track team defeated Colby while the men placed third at a home meet at Farley Field House on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bear women outscored Colby 90-56 while Springfield claimed the men's meet with 194 points over Tufts (156), Bowdoin (126) and Colby (69).
