BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin's Luke Trinka enjoyed a magical run at the 2013 USTA/ITA Men's Tennis Regional Championship hosted by Middlebury College this weekend, becoming the first Polar Bear to claim the singles crown in program history.
Unseeded heading into the singles bracket, Trinka posted a 6-0 record and was pushed to a third just twice in the tournament, including the final where he beat Conrad Harron of Williams College 6-0, 3-6, 6-1. With the victory, Trinka earns a trip to the Small College Championships at the Three Oaks Tennis Center in Fort Myers, Florida from October 10-13, 2013.
