Conor Smith Named Head Coach of Men's Tennis Team
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Conor Smith as head coach of the men's tennis program. Smith replaces Colin Joyner, who stepped down this spring after six years at the helm of the Polar Bears. In his four years at Bridgewater (Va.) College, Smith was twice named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference men's tennis coach of the year, netting the honor most recently this spring as the Eagles went 14-7 overall.

Polar Bears to Be Featured on CBS Spring Highlight Show June 19
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin's national champion tennis doubles pairing and national finalist women's lacrosse team will be featured on CBS Sports Presents Championships of the NCAA at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19. Senior Stephen Sullivan and junior Oscar Pena claimed the first-ever NCAA doubles tennis title in school history last month while the women's lacrosse team finished a record-breaking season by reaching the Division III title game.

Colin Joyner Steps Down as Head Coach of Men's Tennis

One of the most successful coaches in program history, Joyner accumulated 73 victories over the past six seasons and led the team to its first NESCAC Championship in 2008.

ITA Recognizes Sullivan and Alberstone With Division III Awards
CLAREMONT, Calif. - Bowdoin College tennis players Stephen Sullivan (Miami, Fla.) and Kellen Alberstone (Tarzana, Calif.) picked up prestigious national honors given by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association at the NCAA Championship on Thursday evening. Sullivan was awarded the ITA Senior Men's Player of the Year while Alberstone was named the ITA National Player to Watch.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The most outstanding year in Bowdoin Athletics history ended with a flourish on Sunday as the Polar Bear duo of Stephen Sullivan and Oscar Pena won the Division III Men's Tennis Doubles Championship.
