BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's and women's swim teams both earned victories in today's head to head meet against visiting Colby.
The women defeated the Mules by a score of 198-95, while the men compiled a 211-83 victory.
On the women's side Katherine Foley took the 1000 free (10:33.19) and 500 free (5:12.86). Bridget Killian won the 200 yard free-style (1:55.44). Teri Faller took the 100 backstroke (1:01.00) and 200 backstroke (2:15.13). Maeve O'Leary won the 100 breaststroke (1:09.58) and 200 (2:32.88). The 50 yard freestyle went to Kaley Kokomoor (25.24) as well the 100 free (55.01). Lela Garner finished first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.38.
For the men, Linc Rhodes took the 1000 free-style (10:30.20). Peter Deardorff won the 200 free (1:45.41) while Basyl Stuyvesant took the 100 backstroke (52.75) and 200 backstroke (1:56.75). John Lagasse won the 100 yard breaststroke (59.73) while Chris Granata swam a 1:56.18 in the 200 butterfly. JR Chansakul won the 200 breaststroke (2:12.66), William Shi took the 50 free (21.84), and Kevin Koh with a 51.86 in the 100 yard butterfly. Ryan Kulesza finished first in the 200 IM (1:58.09).
Bowdoin took home both relays on the men's and women's sides. The entry in the 200 freestyle relay of Killian, Garner, Foley, Kokomoor finished first on the women's side (1:41.18) and Rhodes, Googins, Koh, Shi finished first for the men (1:28.01).
Sage Mikami and Thomas Kramer each took first in both the one and three-meter diving events. Mikami scored 218.10 points in the one-meter and 212.85 in the three-meter. Kramer totaled 272.54 points in the one-meter competition and totaled 277.05 in the three-meter dive.
Bowdoin will travel to Waterville next Saturday for the Maine Event at Colby College.
