MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin squash teams were shut out of the win column in a tough weekend trip to Middlebury College.
The Polar Bear men dropped a 8-1 decision to the Panthers before falling 9-0 to St. Lawrence. The women's team fell 7-2 to Middlebury and were edged 5-4 by St. Lawrence. Both teams stand at 2-4 entering winter break.
Emily Simonton picked up a pair of wins to lead the Polar Bear women's team, earning a 3-0 win in the Middlebury match and a 3-1 decision against St. Lawrence. Natalie LaPlant picked up a 3-2 win against the Panthers while Alden Drake (3-1), Chloe Polikoff (3-0) and Christiana Whitcomb (3-1) took home wins against the Saints.
Andrew Ward accounted for the lone Bowdoin point in action this weekend, earning a 3-2 victory at #4 against Middlebury.
The teams will return to action on January 10 with home matches against Colby scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
