Men's Squash Rolls Over Amherst in Home Win on Wednesday

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The 20th-ranked Bowdoin College men's squash team dispatched Amherst, 8-1, in a mid-week NESCAC win on Wednesday at the Lubin Family Squash Center.

The Polar Bears move to 2-4 on the season with their second-straight win. Amherst is ranked 23rd in the latest College Squash Association poll.

Bowdoin swept the top four spots in the ladder, led by Andrew Hilboldt's fourth consecutive win at #1, 3-0 (11-5, 11-9, 11-8). Stephan Danyluk earned a 3-0 win (11-3, 11-7, 11-3) at #2 while William Fantini battled for a 3-1 win (14-12, 11-7, 5-11, 11-5) as did Matt Cooper (8-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-6) at #3 and #4, respectively.

Max Bearse (11-6, 11-8, 11-7), Andrew Ward (11-8, 11-4, 11-9) and Will Winmill (13-11, 11-6, 11-5) each captured 3-0 wins at #6-8. Alex Reisley also accounted for a point for Bowdoin with a 3-1 victory (11-8, 7-11, 11-7, 11-6) at #9.

The Polar Bears will return to the court on Friday evening at Wesleyan (5:00 p.m.) before traveling to Yale for a quartet of matches on Saturday and Sunday.
