BRUNSWICK, Maine - The snow is being cleared from the latest Nor'easter that blanketed New England and the Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team is expected to host Amherst College on Saturday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the first-ever lacrosse game to be played at the newly-renovated Whittier Field.
Game day information (parking, restrooms, spectator viewing) is available below. (Click here for enlarged photo)
Game day parking is available in the yellow shaded sections in the map, in lots off of Sills Drive and Coffin Street. Walking path access to the field is shown via the red lines. The tailgating section for football/throwing area for track is not available for parking for men's lacrosse games. There is no parking available or access to the field from Bowker Street.
A limited number of handicap accessible parking spots will be blocked off on Pine Street behind the press box.
Access to portable restrooms is located on the north sideline behind the press box/grandstand.
The teams will be located on the north sideline. Due to the most recent snow storm, spectator access to the grandstands may be limited early in the season. Spectators are reminded that lacrosse balls frequently leave the playing area during warm-ups and should be alert at all times if located in non-netted sections around the field.
