Christopher Williamson Named First Team All-NESCAC in Men's Lacrosse

Williamson is Bowdoin's first-ever First Team All-NESCAC goaltender in men's lacrosse

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin senior goaltender Christopher Williamson (Winnetka, Ill.) has been named First Team All-NESCAC in selections announced by the conference office on Thursday.

Williamson moved up from last season's Second Team to earn a spot as the First Team goaltender in 2013. A graduate of New Trier High School, Williamson played the most minutes of any goalie in the conference, ranking first in the league with 188 saves, second with a .606 save percentage and fourth with an 8.06 goals against average.

For his career, Williamson finishes with 29 wins, ranking fifth all-time at Bowdoin. His 558 saves stand sixth in school history. He is the first Bowdoin netminder to be named First Team All-NESCAC in league history.

The Polar Bears finished their 2013 campaign with an 8-7 record, finishing fifth in the conference standings. Bowdoin lost its NESCAC Quarterfinal game, 8-7, to Wesleyan in overtime on April 27.
