BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's ice hockey team will host UMass Dartmouth in a Division III Men's Ice Hockey First Round game Wednesday evening at Watson Arena. Face-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
A limited number of tickets remain for the game and can be purchased at Watson Arena when doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be $5 for adults, $3 for students and children. Children under 2 and Bowdoin students with ID are free.

The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to play at Utica in an NCAA Quarterfinal game on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

UMass Dartmouth will be making their fourth visit to the NCAA Division III Tournament...The Corsairs qualified in 2005-06 and won a first round game at Geneseo State, 8-2, before losing at Middlebury, 3-1. In 2006-07, they lost at Middlebury, 3-2, and in 2007-08, they lost at home to Trinity, 7-3...Saturday's 2-1 win at Plymouth State was the Corsairs' 12th conference title and their first in the Massachusetts Collegiate Athletic Conference. UMD (formerly of the ECAC Northeast) is 12-5 in conference title games...UMD's 5-4, three-OT win against Salem State Tuesday was the third-longest NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey game ever. Junior defenseman Nate Dupere ended the proceedings with a goal 1:55 into the third extra period...Senior goaltender Ryan Williams, who stopped 57 of 61 shots against Salem and 37 of 38 against Plymouth, was named the MVP of the Tournament...Williams ranked second in the MASCAC in GAA (2.48) and save percentage (.923)...UMD played seven ties in their 24 regular season games this season, an all-time high for the Corsairs...The Corsairs came from behind to score the tying goal in five of their seven ties this season.
