BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's ice hockey team will host UMass Dartmouth in an NCAA First Round game Wednesday evening, March 6, at Sidney J. Watson Arena. Face-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning, March 5, in the Athletic Department Office on the second floor of the Peter Buck Center. Tickets will be $5 for adults, $3 for students and children. Children under 2 and Bowdoin students with ID are free.
An automatic qualifier as the champions of the New England Small College Athletic Conference, the Polar Bears will be making their third trip to the Division III Tournament in the last four years. Bowdoin owns a 22-3-2 overall record, tying the program mark for single-season wins, and is ranked fifth in the latest USCHO.com national poll.
The Corsairs gained an automatic bid to the tournament by winning the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference in a 2-1 victory over Plymouth State on Saturday. UMass Dartmouth owns a 12-7-7 overall record, including a 7-2-4 mark on the road this winter. This will be their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament and first since 2008.
