Honors Continue as Shearer-Hardy Named All-New England
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College junior defenseman Kyle Shearer-Hardy (Montreal, Que.) has been named a Division II/III All-Star by the New England Hockey Writers. Shearer-Hardy, who was named First-Team All-NESCAC and All-American earlier this spring, helped lead the Polar Bears to a 19-7-1 record and NCAA Quarterfinal berth in 2009-10.

Oswego Skates Past Polar Bears in NCAA Quarterfinals
BRUNSWICK, Maine The Oswego State University mens ice hockey team scored five times in the second period to pull away from Bowdoin in a 9-2 NCAA Division III quarterfinal win on Saturday night. The sixth-ranked Polar Bears finish a stellar campaign with a record of 19-7-1 and their third NCAA Championship appearance. The second-ranked Lakers (26-2-0) advance to Division III semifinals next Friday in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Men's Ice Hockey Looks For First NESCAC Crown This Weekend
BRUNSWICK, Maine - In pursuit of its first conference crown, Bowdoin College will look to put home ice to good use this weekend when the Polar Bears host the 2010 NESCAC Mens Ice Hockey Championship at Watson Arena in Brunswick, Maine. Top-seeded Bowdoin will face sixth-seeded Hamilton in the first semifinal on Saturday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a clash between second-seeded Middlebury and fifth-seeded Trinity at 4:00 p.m.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced that a very limited number of tickets have been made available for Saturday's NESCAC semifinal doubleheader. Those tickets will be released to the general public beginning at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning. In addition, 175 student tickets have been made available and can be picked up by Bowdoin students with an ID at that time.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College men's ice hockey players Kyle Shearer-Hardy (Montreal, Que.) and Daniel Weiniger (Warren, N.J.) have been honored in conference awards handed out by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Thursday. Shearer-Hardy was named First-Team All-NESCAC while Weiniger netted Rookie of the Year honors. The duo helped lead the Polar Bears to a first-place finish in the NESCAC regular season standings and hosting rights for this weekend's NESCAC Championship.

Bowdoin Sells Allotment of Tickets For NESCAC Hockey Semifinals
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced that it sold out of its allotment of tickets for Saturday's NESCAC Semifinal doubleheader in less than two and a half hours on Tuesday. As per NESCAC regulations, Bowdoin provided tickets to the three visiting institutions and is hoping to receive extra tickets back in order to sell on Friday morning. More information will be posted on the Bowdoin website Thursday evening if extra tickets are available.
