Honors Continue as Shearer-Hardy Named All-New England
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College junior defenseman Kyle
Shearer-Hardy (Montreal, Que.) has been named a Division II/III
All-Star by the New England Hockey Writers. Shearer-Hardy, who was
named First-Team All-NESCAC and All-American earlier this spring,
helped lead the Polar Bears to a 19-7-1 record and NCAA
Quarterfinal berth in 2009-10.
Shearer-Hardy paced the Polar Bears in offensive production while
patrolling the blue line and finished as the top scoring defenseman
in the NESCAC and fourth among Division III with 30 points (eight
goals, 22 assists). His assist total also ranked best of all
players in the conference. The dynamic junior excelled at special
teams as well, notching 12 assists on the power play. For his
career, Shearer-Hardy has 25 goals, ranking fifth all-time among
Bowdoin defenseman.
The Hoosac School graduate was one of just five NESCAC players on
the 18-member All-New England team.
