BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's golf team placed ninth at its season-opening Bowdoin Invitational this weekend at the Brunswick Golf Club.
The Polar Bears recorded a team total of 664 (+88) as a team. St. Anselm took the crown with a two-day score of 603 (+27). Stephen Hunt of St. Anselm took medalist honors with a two-day total of 144 (E).
- Bowdoin's top performer was Thomas Dunleavy, who finished in eighth place individually (+12, 156), just 12 strokes off the winning score.
- Liam Farley (170) finished in a tie for 37th in his first collegiate tournament, followed by Jackson Harrower (171) in 40th, and Tyler Chonoles and Eric Giesler in a tie for 42nd (172).
- The Polar Bears will return to action next weekend at the Maine State Championship hosted by Martindale C.C. in Auburn on Saturday and Sunday.
