WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's golf team opened its spring season with a fifth-place finish at the Williams Spring Invitational last weekend hosted at Taconic Golf Club.

Tournament Highlights

  • The Polar Bears finished with a two-day team total of 647 to finish behind Hamilton (624) and ahead of Wesleyan (697) in the six-team field.
  •  Thomas Spagnola led the way for Bowdoin, earning an eighth-place finish individually thanks to a two-day total of 150 (+8), shooting the fourth-best round of the tournament on Sunday (70).
  • Tom Dunleavy finished 19th (155, +13) while Eric Giesler (167), Jack Bors (175), Sam Ward (185) and Cooper Hemphill (197) rounded out the Polar Bear competitors.
