BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin first-year Thomas Dunleavy (Darien, Conn.) has been named First Team All-New England Small College Athletic Conference in league awards announced on Tuesday.

Dunleavy became the first Polar Bear to garner First Team All-NESCAC recognition since 2008 after finishing in a tie for fourth at the conference's fall qualifier last weekend. Dunleavy shot a 70 on the first day at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury on Saturday before firing at 74 on Sunday to finish at 144, just five strokes off the winning score. Jeff Cutter was the last Bowdoin player to earn a First Team All-Conference selection in 2008.

Placement on the NESCAC Men's Golf All-Conference Team is based on individual performance at the qualifier. The Polar Bears will continue their season this weekend with the CBB Championship on Saturday at the Brunswick Golf Club.
