Mathias Takes Medalist Honors as Men's Golf Wins CBB Championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin's Matt Mathias took medalist honors as the Polar Bear men's golf team won its second-straight CBB (Colby-Bates-Bowdoin) Championship Saturday at Brunswick Golf Club.

The Polar Bears rounded out their intercollegiate season with their second consecutive team win of the year, and their third CBB crown in the last four seasons. Bowdoin carded a team total (top four finishers) of 387. Colby was second with 413 followed by Bates at 416.

Mathias shot a 75 (+3) to take medalist honors, keying an all-senior Bowdoin squad that boasted five of the top-eight finishers in the event. Bobby Kaminski was third with a 77 while Thomas Lilly and Danny Greene both scored 78's to tie for fourth. Scott Mahoney rounded out the Polar Bears with an eighth-place finish of 79.
