WATERVILLE, Maine - The Bowdoin men's golf team won its first tournament of the season by claiming the mixed-format Colby Classic Saturday at Waterville Country Club.

With two-man teams playing six holes of best-ball, scramble, and alernate-shot, Bowdoin posted a team total of 206 to edge Bates (209) and UNE (211). Other teams included Maine-Presque Isle (216), Colby (219) and Thomas (236).

The top individual duo was Bowdoin's team of Thomas Lilly and Kevin Zmozynski, who carded a score of 66. Matthew Mathias and Thomas Spagnola combined for a score of 69 while Bobby Kaminski and Sam Herzig teamed for a 71.
