Husson Leads, Polar Bears Fifth After Day One of Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Husson University golf team holds a one-stroke lead after day one of the Bowdoin Invitational Saturday at the Brunswick Golf Club.

The Eagles carded a team score of 305 to lead second-place Middlebury (306) with Williams (309) and Southern Maine (309) tied for third place overall. Individually, Southern Maine's Tom Murray was the only player under par with a one-under 71.

The host Polar Bears sit in fifth place overall, eight strokes back. Bowdoin was paced by a 75 from Matt Mathias and a 77 from Thomas Lilly.

Action will resume at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Brunswick Golf Club.
