Men's Golf Team Competes at Williams Invitational, Maine State Tourney
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's golf team competed in a pair of tournaments this weekend.
The Polar Bears finished 11th of 18 teams in an challenging field at the Williams Invitational at Taconic Golf Club and also sent a squad that finished tenth at the Maine State Intercollegiate Golf Championship at Val Halla Golf Course in Cumberland.
In Williamstown, Bowdoin carded a two-day total of 629 to finish in the middle of the pack. Leading the way were John Bohorquez (74-83-157), who finished in a tie for 16th, and Bobby Kaminski (81-79-160), who ended in a deadlock for 32nd place.
In Cumberland, Bowdoin placed tenth in the field of ten squads with a team total of 666. Thomas Lilly (84-81-165) led the team with a 25th-place finish. Sam Herzig (83-83-166) and Scott Mahoney (82-85-167) ended just strokes behind him.
