NESCAC Announces Fall All-Academic Team Honorees
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Thirty-nine Bowdoin student-athletes have been awarded NESCAC All-Academic recognition in honors announced this week. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

NESCAC Names Fall All-Sportsmanship Team
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Eight Bowdoin College student-athletes have been recognized as NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team honorees announced on Thursday. The All-Sportsmanship Team is composed of one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship.

Blossom Finishes Second at Husson Invitational
ORONO, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's golf team finished fifth at the Husson Invitational that concluded on Monday. The Polar Bears five-man team totaled a two-day score of 650 to stand fifth among nine squads at the Penobscot Bay Country Club.

Golf Teams Finish Second at CBB Tournament
LEWISTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's golf team placed second at the CBB Tournament on Sunday at Martindale Golf Club. The Polar Bears trailed winning Bates by just two strokes 414-416. Colby finished a distant third at 430.

Cutter, Blossom Earn All-NESCAC Recognition
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College golfers Jeff Cutter (Medfield, Mass.) and Ryan Blossom (Concord, N.H.) have been named to the NESCAC's All-Conference Team following their performances at the conference tournament September 27-28.

Bowdoin Fifth at NESCAC Qualifier
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin College men's golf team just missed out on qualifying for the NESCAC Championship, finishing in fifth place at the conference qualifier tournament at Middlebury's Ralph Myhre Golf Course this weekend. The Polar Bears finished just five shots behind fourth-place Williams College in the race for the bid to the NESCAC Spring Championship.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's golf team took a pair of runner-up finishes at tournaments last weekend. The Polar Bears were second at the Maine State Tournament at Natanis Golf Club Saturday before finishing second at Sunday's Colby Classic at the Waterville Country Club.

Bowdoin Fourth at Home Invitational
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Husson College claimed the 2008 Bowdoin Golf Invitational Sunday, battling through rainy conditions to post five of the top eight finishers to win by 15 strokes. Lee Bloom of Brandeis claimed medalist honors by carding a two-day score of 145, including the low round of the tournament on Saturday with a 2-under par 70.
