Bowdoin Athletics Announces Webcasting Agreement With Northeast Sports Network

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced a partnership with Northeast Sports Network to webcast home sporting events beginning with the 2013-14 academic year.

The three-year agreement will debut this fall with live webcast coverage of every home field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's volleyball and football game. In all, plans include coverage of over 100 sporting events across 16 different programs during the school year.

The webcasts will be free of charge and will include NSN's professional production techniques, camera operators and broadcast crews. Complete schedule details will be confirmed in the coming weeks and all broadcasts will be available at www.NSNSports.net/bowdoin beginning with the September 3 men's soccer game against the University of Southern Maine.

"We're excited to partner with Northeast Sports Network to broadcast Bowdoin sporting events to our students, parents, alumni and fans around the globe," said Ashmead White Director of Athletics Tim Ryan '98. "NSN will provide a high quality, professional webcast of our contests and we are proud to be their first broadcast partner in Maine."

"We are eager for the start of the athletic season at Bowdoin, and enthusiastic about working closely with such a highly-regarded institution," said NSN President Eric Berry. "Our goal is to provide a great viewership experience for all Bowdoin fans."

Northeast Sports Network is the regional industry leader in live internet sports webcasting, working with nine NCAA Division I and III schools in New England. Their clients include Dartmouth as well as NESCAC brethren Middlebury and Williams.

"Viewers will enjoy enhancements to our webcasts such as live scoring and game clock displays," said Ryan.  "We look forward to working with NSN to promote the outstanding achievements of our students.”
